Default Non-cotton underwear

I wouldn't think about using cotton as my first layer on top; I use a good
wicking synthetic or silk. Same for long underwear bottoms. Some how,
though, it never occurred to me to wear anything but my regular cotton
briefs. They do get sweaty when I ski. SO, I'm thinking perhaps I should
get some other sort. Anyone have any views on whether its worth the money
to buy new underwear out of something more wickable?

It is. It will get smelly though.

Underwhat?

I'm familiar with software, hardware, firmware, but I've never heard
of underware. Is it the programs that run in the background?

IMHO, very much worth it. Most outdoor stores have it on the rack
right next to the long johns and tops.

www.sierratradingpost.com has several kinds at good prices, I got the
Wickers brand in both std and windblocking style. Really nice not to
have soggy drawers!!

Dude whatever I wear boxers and sweats under my snowboard pants (so much
better than ski pants). It's more breathable and the boys are
freeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Don't boxers let the boys bounce around and become decidedly uncomfortable?

Boxers can let the boys be a little too free for their own good if you
happen to fall wrong. I wear underarmour, which solves the moisture
probem and provides needed support.

Rather personal question, eh?

I wear wickable on really cold days... it helps me "find myself" for pee
breaks... keeps the shinkage down to a minimum, ya know.

I think that alone makes it worth the price ;-).

Seriously, they work much better to keep you warm, but are not as
comfortable. Set your priorities, I guess.
