kuzmin "drum"
I've seen on Kuzmin web site that he proposes a rotor "drum" tool,
http://www.kuzmin.se/pgs/drum_en.html but didn't find any information on that ? (BTW, have we lost the archives of that newsgroup through google. ?) |

It's news to me, too: I haven't yet even seen a mention of it in the liveliest and the best place for discussion (from the end user's point of view and especially that of Johnny Startgroup-Two-Or-More) about preparing skis the Kuzmin way, http://www.skidforum.se - but I'll be keeping an eye (or maybe I'll ask about it). FWIW the general idea would appear to be remarkably close to the one that the fearless Finnish inventor (and rather inept marketer) of the "Ski Grip" method (not to be confused with the various grip tape methods) had: http://www.skigrip.fi/index_eng.asp?pid=84 (I haven't yet tried it myself, but there have been some favourable user reviewss, one from a national championship 50 km participator, but maybe there's a bit of local (Eastern Finnish) local patriotism involved in those comments...) (BTW, have we lost the archives of that newsgroup through google. *?) I haven't searched for anything in ages, but "search this group" used to do the trick (for relatively new posts), but alas, it doesn't seem to work now. |

I'm tempted to response: "Consistent with critics of Kuzmin, you do not even bother tell us *how* his web site fails to work properly." FWIW it at least seems to work properly on the version of Firefox that was installed in my Linux-distribution. (Which would be kind of consistent with the experience of many of the skiers who've been suckered into buying a Kuzmin tool.) Anders PS your newsreader OTOH somehow managed to corrupt - if that is the word - the text of the post you replied to so that the link to Kuzmin's site no longer works (without a little help, that is). PPS Funny how the opening of a ski tunnel - or a ski hall, to be precise - a ten minutes' bicycle ride away has made me a more mellow man! P |
