has anyone been to Okemo in Vermont? Will be staying slopeside
(Winterplace), first ski in ski out vacation.

damn, and i thought they invented it for me. being brand new to
skiing, was wondering peoples reviews of the hill, and the
accomodations, restaurants, etc

Default Okemo Vermont

Okemo conditions the last two days were very windy and cold. Lots of trails
left ungroomed but in excellent condition. The new Jackson Gore area had
some very nice intermediate trails with scenic views. The lodge is huge and
has lots of amenities.

I like Okemo very much thinking it is my second favorite area in the
northeast behind Sunday River. Killington has in my opinion much more
diverse terrain and steeps if that's your bag.

Bromley is also a nice area but smaller. It was rated 2nd by Ski Magazine
for family skiing.
