Alpina CS boots wanted
One of the little monster alpine skiers that my team shares a wax room with
destroyed my classic boots, so I need to replace. If I can do so this spring I can get reimbursed. I've been using the old blue/yellow Rossi Combi boots so I need something NNN. I coach, so I like the warmth of a higher boot. I also like the extra support a combi boot gives me on the downhills. Anyone have any experience with the Alpina CS boots? Anyone know of any sources-local shops with any stock left? I'm size 41 and there's nothing available in this area (Burlington, VT). Looking to buy new, but would consider "nearly new" if someone is looking to sell a pair. Any other sugggestions? --joe-- |

Any other sugggestions? --joe-- When I was looking at boots earlier this winter I found a lot of mail order places on the web, many of which had good discount prices, and some that had previous years' stock for real deep discounts. Good news is that it's also spring sale time. I'd suggest doing a web search. Mail order would work if you know what size to buy. Quick come to mind, places I've dealt with are Eagle River Nordic, Reliable Racing, Akers, Gear West. But there are many others if you look. Good luck and hope it works out before the snow melts! If you have trouble finding hte size, try Carters in Oxford, ME (207-539-4848).
They are apt to have it in either Alpina or Rossi, adn at VERY fair prices.
