Default Best skis to use; Sun Valley XC ; end of march?

Which skis should I take to Sun Valley for their XC trails (and Galena
Lodge)(for around March 26):
1) Fisher Cruiser no wax (short skis)
2) Fischer Outabounds nowax (metal edge , wide)
3) Rock skis

Thanks,
GR

Hi Gary-
Take the best "track-style" skis from your quiver. i.e., narrower, straighter, longer.

Expect to spend most of your time on Galena's excellent, copious groomed trails.
Unless March is cold and snowy, backcountry travel will likely be on crust tending towards corn snow (frozen-thawed-frozen-thawed, repeat until party ice texture is achieved). So backcountry (off groomed track) skiing will be pretty challenging except between a narrow window of about 9:00 - 11:30 AM (Ice skating before, slush fest after).

Galena has rental and demo skis that are more appropriate to their trails, so what the heck, give 'em a try. And since it's getting towards the end of the season, they might be willing to sell you a pair or two.

Classic or skate?

There is plenty of snow this year. No rock skis. Late March it could still
be dumping snow, or well into the melt-freeze cycle. If it's melt-freeze,
plan to ski earlier and be done by 1pm or so. Also, the "crust cruising" can
be very good by then, where basically you can skate in the morning anywhere
that sees lots of sun, on or off trail.

This week is week of melt-freeze.
