Anyone know about Leki Poles?
Hi All-
Is anyone familiar with Leki's line of carbon racing poles? They have four models that range from the expensive (Sport Carbon @ $160) to ridiculously expensive (HM Carbon @ $289). Their website is pretty brief, and doesn't give any information about weight, stiffness, performance, who uses them, etc. Has anyone out there used these poles? Opinions? How do they compare to Swix, Yoko, etc.? By the way, these are NOT the adjustable poles I'm asking about (so no ranting about Leki's crummy pole adjusting system-- unless you really want to). I do know about Leki's "trigger" system, which is a variation of the quick-release pole strap offered by Yoko. I used it on trekking poles this summer, and it seemed to fit better and be easier to use than Yoko's system, but I don't know how well the plastic bits would perform in cold weather, hours and hours of use, etc. Does anyone else have any experience with this system? thanks!
