Great - skiing is a wonderful activity that can continue for a lifetime.
I'm particularly interested in this group, in spite of the activities of
a few hostiles, because it's easily locatable by skiing newbies and as
such the group should be a first resource for those new to skiing.

in themselves than in talking about skiing gets overwhelming, check out
rec.skiing.alpine.moderated for flame-free ski talk.

Also, some people, like me, *only* read the moderated group. There are
only so many hours in the day, and I don't like to spend them filtering
wheat from chaff ...
