Default Skiing by Train from Zurich

Hi,

I will be spending some months in Zurich and wanted
to get in a bit of Weeknd Skiing. At present the plan
is not to have a car.

Does anyone know if it is practical to get anywhere
reasonable by train for the weekend (or for the day?)
and maybe you could suggest a few destinations
if there are any?

Was somewhat warm there last weekend. ~15C.

Thanks.

See the list I just reposted up there ^^^ in the "paging Ace..."
thread. Everywhere in Switzerland ia easily accessible by train, which
services link in with local bus services ("Post Bus") when the lines
don't run right into the ski resort itself.

See
www.sbb.ch for timetables, which will include all necessary bus
connections. And be aware that when the Swiss say that trains and
busses are linked, what they mean is that in the rare event of a train
arriving late, the bus will wait for it before leaving.

Switerland, where "integrated public transport" is a way of life, not
a pipe=dream.

Was up to about +10C at village level in Engelberg, but still only +5C
or so on the mountain, so the now was still pretty good.
