How long should my training sessions be?
When I go out rollerskiing (or skiing), how long should a "normal"
workout be? I usually only rollerski 1:00 - 1:30 per session. Should I eventually be doing numerous, long 2:30 - 3:00 sessions in preparation for races of that length? I've always felt I haven't been doing all I should in regards to LONG distance training. Also, does anyone know of any videos on the web showing dryland hill training like hill bounding, etc. Thanks!! |

I am sure you will receive all kinds of replies dealing with
periodization , intensity, etc., but ultimately the answer is as long as you have time for. Skip the boring dryland hill bounding and go for a bicycle ride or a trail run. Keeps training much more fun and interesting. wrote: When I go out rollerskiing (or skiing), how long should a "normal" workout be? I usually only rollerski 1:00 - 1:30 per session.
