If you can name an airliner that's never going to crash, I'd love to hear about it. That Howard Hughes plane, the Spruce Goose, is never going to crash. Course, it'll never fly either, but you didn't specify that. It flew. What do I win? If you had been correct, your prize would have been an all expense paid four week trip - a week each at Chamonix, Les Trois Valle, Val d'Isere, and Paris plus first class air fare; as it is your booby prize is a chance to post to world famous rec.skiing.alpine. |

It's about the only word I can think of that starts with a Q but it not followed with a U. Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services, or something very close to that. 2. I think the claim with respect to crashing is that they have never lost any passengers. In the early days when they were a freight and mail airline, a couple (apparently) fell out of the skies. Carry on! |

Hey, I'd let 'em in, wouldn't you? I went to that the first time I heard about it in 2012, but I'm sure not going again, besides I ate all the snacks the first time so I know there won't be anything to eat plus I'm a terrible bore at those things and I'd probably get stuck sitting next to me and the 2012 me was BIG into that whole retro Pokeman revival and I couldn't stand a whole night listening to me talk about that crap. |

"Bob Lee" wrote in message ... I stole this from another group, but...technically, wouldn't you only need *one* time traveller convention? According to some theories (OK, according to my science fiction) you can always travel forward in time. However, you can't travel backward any further than the first construction of a time machine compatible with some future version. So when the first machine is built and activated, expect all kinds of futurians to come pouring out of it. |

If nobody turned up, time travel was officially dead. According to some theories (OK, according to my science fiction) you can always travel forward in time. However, you can't travel backward any further than the first construction of a time machine compatible with some future version. Oh, ****. You mean we have to worry about, uh, backward compatibility as well? We know how well that worked for Microsoft. So when the first machine is built and activated, expect all kinds of futurians to come pouring out of it. |
