Default Waxing Frequency question

Got back from a border cross competition where the board that was used
was run three (3) times (second place, first place, second place thank
you). It had been waxed "thin to win" using a brass brush to remove the
excess wax.

Before the next competition, should I
1) Just buff the board
2) Strip and re-wax
3) Re-wax

Thanks guys,

Chris
