Yes indeed, folks, it is exactly ten years ago today, February 12th 2004,
the day of the spectacular opening ceremony of the 1994 Lillehammer Winter
Olympic Games.

My favourite story relates to a US media mogul, cant remember which company.
Upon arrival at Oslo he rushed over to the heli pad for his heli flight but
the place
was deserted. He heard noises and found everyone crammed into a small room
watching people skiing in the forest. His pilot was reluctant to leave and
showed
the mogul the TV screen with people standing shoulder to shoulder in the
snow
under the trees either side of the track as far as the camera could see.

All the way there he listened to the pilot babbling on about the wonderful
championships, the wonderful spectacle, the wonderful racers, the wonderful
spectators- well, you get the picture.

But when the mogul got to his location his company were having yet another
interminable in studio discussion on the two girl skaters.
