Vail Lift Passes
I'm headed out to Vail next March for 10 days boarding from the UK.
I'm looking at purchasing a lift passes before I go since the =A3-$ exchange rate is so good. However last time I was in the US at Aspen I was able to get a cheaper deal from my tour rep than either the price in my tour company brochure or the online Aspen price. Is the same likely to be the same in Vail, so I'm better waiting to get the good deal off the rep, rather than purchaisng ahead of time. Looking at these newsgroups, it doesnt seem that there's that many good deals to be had in resort, which is a pity since the Vail prices are so high Anyone have any experience of getting better than the peaks 7 days advance deals available online ? Dream on. At Vail they would charge you for the air you breathe if they
could! The Colorado ticket from your rep is the best deal. Cheaper day tickets can be bought from supermarkets/ski shops in Frisco. I remember getting 2 days for the price of one skiing at Copper from Safeways, Frisco last year but these change from time to time. I'm afraid you have to accept the fact that US tickets are more than double the price of their European counterparts. Paul PS. Just come back from Zermatt/Cervinia and paid ?206.00 for 6 day international lift pass. wrote in message oups.com... I'm headed out to Vail next March for 10 days boarding from the UK. You can get affordable day ticket's from AB Ski and Sport in Frisco, http://www.abskisport.com You can see what the comparable window prices are for all of the Colorado resorts (anyone paying window price is nuts) at http://www.black-diamond.com ---------------------- Chester 'I don't want to believe, I want to know.' -Carl Sagan |
