Default Karhu Vulcan classics?

Anyone familiar with the Karhu Vulcan classic skis?
They are Karhu's top racing skis distributed in the
U.S. I understand that Karhu has recently begun
distributing racing skis in the U.S. again and these
skis are made in Finland as opposed to Canada, where
many of the U.S. distributed Karhus are made. Are
there any European group members who might be familiar
with Karhu racing skis? The skis would be for my
daughter who is a middle of the pack high school
racer. I have confidence in the fitting as the ski
shop owner has worked in racing oriented ski shops and
departments for a number of years and has recently
opened his own shop. She has been told that her RCS
Classics are too soft and needs new skis for this
weekend's races. We're also going to look at
Rossignols, Fischers and Madshus at another shop.
Thanks.

Vulcan? No. Kahru? Yes.

A few years back, I got two brand new pairs of Kahru for my older kid.
Platino Classic and Safir Skate. At the end of the second season, both pairs
had become useless: the cap separated from the base, about a foot behind the
heel, on the left edge. Even if three skis out of four had exactly the same
problem, Kahru Canada refused to recognize any responsibility in the failure
of their product. Have their products and customer service improved since? I
will never find out because I will never ever buy anything with their name
stamped on it ...
