I think Sammy was referring to my 2004 Salomon Crossmax 8s, 175cm.

I skied on those last year - liked 'em a lot. Tried this years 8's a couple
of weeks ago & didn't like them much at all.

Unfortunately (for you) I switched to the 10s & they were fab (!) so I
wouldn't buy anything less than these.
