Powder Magazine, which used to be fun decades ago but turned to new
school trash but more recently has shown occasional signs of life, has
in the current issue an bunch of photos of old time gear and old time
skiing. Worth a look at the news stand or checkout line...

Lots of things used to be more fun until they tried to make it fit a
modern audience.

Can't you see it on their website? Why pay for it?

Vote for Palin-Brown in 2012. Repeal the nightmares.

Merry Christmas everyone. God bless us all.

And they (the ephemeral "they") thought they
could make more money if they turned Ski Areas
into "Destination Resorts". I have good and
bad thoughts about the current management of
Killington, but at last count they believe they
are managing a Ski Area. They've made
improvements and policies that really count
for skiing (and riding) and not especially
for anything else.

If you provide a good product (skiing) the rest
will follow. Ask the people who manage Okemo.

Powder was fun when Jake ran it. Once he sold it, it went to hell in
a handbasket, catering to stoned out dirtbags.

Yeah, but they let you hang out there. Of course, they don't know you
the way I know you.
If they knew you are a cowardly pathological liar who stalks in real
life over a stupid newsgroup, and tried to get me killed because I
expose you as a cowardly pathological liar, I bet they would
reconsider.
