Where to go to ski/work/live for a season?
In other words, where would you guys go to be a "ski-bum"?
Here's what I'm looking for, prioritized: 1. I don't have a car, thus I would pretty much need a place that is self-sustaining/contained, or has reliable and cheap public transport to the nearest town/city. Consequently I'm imagining a place that has a village or town at the base. 2. A place that doesn't necessarily require a work visa, or some place that it isn't difficult to acquire the necessary paperwork (I'm an American). 3. Somewhere out west, as I've spent 95% of my life in the New York Metro area. That's it. I do of course have more issues and priorities, but I want to encourage discussion, not stifle it. I really appreciate any feedback. Thanks! ~ellis |
