Training hard
Am I the only one who is training hard? 20 hours a week. Intensity,
recovery, endurance etc. I am losing self confidence. Actually, I am just tesing how this news group posting thing works...but I am wondering a bit though.... cheers Bob |

Training hard
Not every week but coming up to the ski season I just thought that's what
all the folks who are racing do. Who writes those darn internet sites on training. Psychos obviously....OK then, in that case, I hope that I am fast then.... "Ken Roberts" wrote in message ... Wow -- that's a 1000 hours a year. Bob Creasote wrote Actually, I am just tesing oh I get it. It's good you're not serious, otherwise I'd be concerned for you. Because there's so many more important and rewarding things to do in life. You know like . . . Golf Actually, I am just tesing. Really I meant things like arguing about the theory of ski technique, or testing different models of rollerski equipment. Ken |

Training hard
Not me. I'd guess that the majority of racers on this newsgroup are trying
to see how _few_ hours they can train and still get a decent result. Bob Creasote wrote I just thought that's what all the folks who are racing do. I thought the main purpose of posting summer training reports to this newsgroup was to prove how little ski-specific activity you're doing. Ken |

Last week I had a bad cold with fever etc.. I attacked and attacked last night. I felt like complete crap the entire race yet I had good legs so I just kept going hard. I get home around 21:30 and take a shower and I start shaking like a leaf. Fever. Spent the entire night sweating buckets. Went through 5 t-shirts and drenched the sheets good too. I get up this morning feeling a little dazed but pretty well ready to go again. What gives? J -- Justin F. Knotzke http://www.shampoo.ca |

Training hard
I guess that just goes to show, don't do crits when you are crook. Simple
I'd say. The reason you are probably sick is because you are run down from something. "Justin F.
