Team USA
At the 15k freestyle race this weekend in Norway Kris Freeman scored a
good finish in 28th place. Carl Swenson was 60th. Freeman met Coach Nystads goal of a top 30 finish. I dont know what happened with Carl Swenson's uncharacteristically slow result, however there hasn't been much racing yet. It's early. Timewise Freeman was 66 seconds out of 1st. Swenson was 2:01 out of 1st. A pretty tight race you could say. So you had to be within about 1 minute of the leader for a top 30 finish. Notable observations: Ole Einar Bjorndalen, the BIATHLETE ! gets 13th place. Very good result ja. Giogio DiCenta, out fellow WorldLoppet skier in 18th place. Freeman scored same time & finish position as Tor Arne Hetland.
