Tignes Grande Motte, current conditions

statuses...es.... the more worried i get! Does anyone know if
there is enough snow to play in? Is the snowpark open? Are any bars

You're a little early...! As Pete's already mentioned, some stuff on
the glacier *should* be open, but a friend of mine out there at the
moment said it was closed on the weekend due to the high winds. They
were looking to open the Espace Killy on the 25th November (a week on
Saturday), or at least the Tignes sector of it, but this looks very
unlikely. If it's anything like last year, then they won't really be up
to speed until the week before Christmas, and even then it's snow
permitting.

Open Bars? TCs should be open (www.tcsbar.com) and the Couloir in Val
Claret might be open. Alpaka Lodge in Lac should be open as well, but I
know others aren't opening until the 1st Dec.

They were planning to open the ENTIRE Espace Killy. This is unusual as I
seem to recall that Val and Tignes had a week or two of running as
separate resorts in early season in previous years.

Of course there is no snow so.......

Still apparently the Foehn wind is forecast to begin to blow soon, so
we'll have to wait a see how much damage that does ...
