Default Italian Skiing and design vacation

I have an unusual request that I have not seen posted yet. I have a 12
year old daughter that is infatuated with all things Italian and Modern
- primarily archtecture and interior design - which I find odd but alot
of fun to explore with her. We are also avid skiers and I thought that
it might be fun to combine a vacation that included a visit to Milan or
any other Italian city that would allow us to enjoy modern architecture
etc. that is also within reasonable proximity to good skiing in early
april. Thank you for any suggestions you might have.

Oh it's all doable. I was in the Val Gardena to ski the Sella
Ronda and Cortina in Feb. Many places to go. I considered a trip down
to Milan and work wanted me to pay a courtesy call to the U. Pisa where
joint research projects get funded. But didn't. The Sella Rhonda is
like nothing in the US (go clockwise one day and counter clockwise
another day, do side trips and other tours as well). Because Ladin is
more prevalent as a language there I added Cortina: very nice as well.
You can go other places as well like Breuil/Cervina, or Courmeyeur,
or.... Let her decide and see how overwhelming it is and make priority
choices.

I am also planning to go to the Dolomites in Feb 2007,
and I would appreciate any tips on the best town to
stay with acces to the Sella Ronda. Which town has
the best views, snow conditions, etc?
