Default Spotted a rare blue-crested youngster on trail today

When I arrived at the local boony trails today a 20-something was
prepping his wood skis. Waxing even! I got ready, too. Then I noticed
he was putting on blue kicker. For 35-deg F icy slush. I asked what wax
he was using. Blue. I said it would make a good glider, did he have red
klister even? Nope. I had some and put it on for him while telling him
about the deadly properties of klister. I had a great ski and ran into
him once. He said his skis were working. Cool!

I run into about one young person every other year out there lately.
I've seen more pileated woodpeckers (up north).
