I was told that one New Hampshire mountain opens in September due to
some high tech snow making equipment. Anyone know where this might
be?

Tenney.

They actually opened for VERY limited park play back in July, just to
show they could.

Rumor has it they will open WAY early, but I haven't heard 'September'
yet.

It was a horrible, horrible thing. If you checked out photos of their
ahem! "glacier" on their web page, it looked like they poached a truck
load of ice scrapings from behind the local rink and spread it around with
shovels on the hill and filled in the gaps with bales of hay....better to
hit straw than rocks I guess. There was a substantial thread on
newschoolers.com about the whole thing, as it was the job kids that they
were really looking to hook. Save your money and wait for US thanksgiving
when other resorts start opening up, of I think that Timberline at hood
still does a season that is somewhere in around 11 months.

Yep.... Timberline closes for 12 days starting the day after Labor Day, and
unless it's an extremely low snow year, they re-open on Fri, Sat and Sun
until the base starts to build up again, usually in November. Not a lot of
terrain in the fall but it's generally the only lift-serviced sliding
available in the lower 48 at that time.
