If you currently are paid overtime you should be aware that there is a
very important vote in the Senate next week. As it reads now the Fair
Labor Standards Act, which is currently in the Senate, will limit the
number of workers available for overtime. Senator Tom Harkins has
proposed an ammendment to block the changes. Contact your Senators to
share your view and to support the Tom Harkin Ammendment. Your
Senators email can be found at www.senate.gov Share this info with

And how is it again that this relates to a skiing newsgroup?

And why is it again, dumbass, that you quoted/re-posted the entire

Don't ski instructors, etc, get paid by the hour?

Do you think any instructors work more than 8 hours a day?

If they get paid only for hours actually conducting a class,
that leaves a maximum of 7.5 hours. But I don't think
ski school starts at 8:30 when the lifts start (on weekends
here in CO). Gotta be a lunch break in there too. Classes
don't go till 4PM (lift shutdown time). So, maybe on a
good day (when an instructor is assigned a class), 6hrs
per day?

You were in the military but you don't want people to know that so you
tell them you spent the time ski instructing? Is that for job
applications, or for social credibility?
