Understand that response you get may refer to
boards made by the original company many years
ago - the current company has kept the name and
a few board names, but I believe they have
redone the designs at least in part. No idea
on who/where they are being made either.

What do you think about Swallowtail?


I saw one on the "Future Snowboarding" powder board test a couple of
weeks back. You'll have to wait for next season for the review.

It looks a lot like the old boards in some ways - a very radical shape.
Of course the bindings are the same as most people now use: still crude
in engineering terms, but people seem to manage to side slip on them
quite well ;-)

Swallowtails generally: I think it's a poor engineering solution to the
problem of powder-board tail design. I've seen a fair few people
proudly bring their STs into a helicopter only to dump it as soon as
they can... they're ok in straight lines, but apparently rather poor in
trees, which kind of figures if you compare them with tree boards.

Try before you buy. And budget for a proper powder board (Malolo or
Fish) once you've retired the ST to hand above your fireplace.
