Default anybody famaliar w rendevouz cc trails in winthrop?

i did the climb from mazama to a couple miles past the fawn shelter
and back to mazama w/ my wife...thought is was a pretty good climb..
just wondering if we started from cabin crreek side and avoided cub
creek would the sking be a little esier and turn around and back to
parking lot..do u need a state parking permit ? thank u
