Default 360 Jump

My goal this year has been to at least attempt a 360 on a jump. I can
handle a 180 with relative ease, which seems to be more of just
twisting your legs in the air and landing. I imagine landing a 360
involves rotating the whole body a lot more and more of a full-body
commitment. Everytime I get to the jump I sort of chicken out on the
360 and do the 180. Should I start on little jumps in training
parks? Is that enough speed for practice and could even get enough air
to land one there? Or is it necessary to go off bigger jumps? I'm
not sure if I should be "starting" the spin before liftoff (on the
ramp) or if you're supposed to wait until you're airborne.

Any advice out there on how to approach this?
