I'm a rookie when it comes to shooting air. I should have composed it
holding the camera vertical. It's a long way down to the landing.
Unfortunately, the pic just doesn't show the whole drop.

Great picture. Is that you? Where in Alta was that? I have never seen anybody
get air like that there.

No, it's not me...I took the pic. Stopped doing that insanity 20
years ago, about the same time I realized how fragile life really is.

Anyway, if you go skiers right of green mat, it's the cliff line up
above. Accessed from the front side.

You should take a look through some past issues of powder mag or other
ski publications, plenty of big air happening at Alta. Not as much as
somewhere like Jackson, but it's definitely there.

Thanks. I will look for it in March although I will not be trying it.

I go to both Jackson and Alta almost every year and although I am not seeking
air I do enjoy watching it. Seems like Jackson has a lot of opportunities to
witness the crazies from chairlifts as I have seen more there than anywhere.
Alta has several spots that I keep a lookout for when going uphill but I
haven't seen this one before.

My favorite jump witness experience was at Jackson about five years ago. I was
below Corbets watching that fun (not me though) right above the last pitch til
you hit the narrow trail that curls around to Tensleep Bowl. Two guys were
above me on the Corbets runout and they hollered for me and my buddy to watch
out. We watched as they sreamed down and hit a rise and launched about twenty
feet over our heads and maybe 150 feet downhill. It was a thrill to see.
