Default Report from Whistler / Blackcomb

Despite high temps and a serious lack of new snow that stayed put in
the past couple of weeks (14 cm in the last 7 days, followed by 28 cm
overnight last night) I still managed to get in some great time in the
playgrounds of Whistler. Harmony's double diamond chutes, the back
bowls of Sun/Symphony and one glorious hike out to Flute provided some
great views when the clouds edged away. Even Glacier and Peak/Whistler
were in OK shape once you got into them; there were many people
standing at the top of the Whistler bowl entry watching those dropping
in, or backing away from the vertical drop into the actually quite
gentle Harmony Chutes. Even the little stuff like the drop from
Kaleidoscope into the second part of McConkeys (full of chopped up
moguls) was OK, although the best work was done in the more difficult
areas of the terrain a little further away from the crowds - follow
Burnt Stew, and take the avalanche gate OB..... superb.

Also did a little boot work at Surefoot - some new orthotics to
replace my 6-year old pair, a little punchwork to the toe zone.

Nice report, thanks.
