Default Good kids skiing shopping on the way from Geneva to Val D'Isere

I'm hoping to stop off around Annecy on my way to Val D'Isere this Friday,
we land at 9am.

Is there a DECathlon or something similiar near Annecy? Would it sell
infants ski gear, ie socks, gloves etc etc.

regards,

greg

www.decathlon.fr says that the Albertville shop is the only one
around. Quite easy to find, IIRC, but the website also gives
directions.

the intersport has moved to closer to McDonalds, and the old intersport
(near decathlon) is now a "SPORT LEADER" only sells branded clothes, no
equipment though

I'm pretty sure there are Decathlon stores in Annemasse (nr Geneva) and in
Annecy. We stocked up on kids gear a few weeks ago and were very
pleased.

There is a Decathlon in Annemasse, but it's rather out of your way if
you're going from Geneva to Val - it's probably better to go to the one in
Albertville.

There's a huge shopping centre with all the big name shops, called Grand
Epagny, just off the motorway at Annecy Nord (on the RN to Chambery).
Easiest way to find it would be to take the motorway for one exit, from
Cruseilles to Annecy Nord, then direction Chambery for less than a mile.

Neil, don't suppose you remember the address of either store? got my GPS
system with me so can route to them if I know a street name!

cheers,

greg

If you are going to Val from Annecy via Albertville, you can't miss
it. We took that road in the summer a few years ago, and it is visible
from the main bypass/ring road around Albertville.

There is a fairly large sports store right in the middle of Annecy
(Intersport IIRC), but Albertville was the only Decathlon we saw in
the area.
