Important Equiptment Question!!!
So one of my racing skis has become pretty damaged while the other one is still like new, I'm wondering if there is any store or place online where it is possible to buy a single ski instead of a pair. Anyone know?

Anyone know? There was someone mentioned here several years ago who was providing that service, but I can't find it now. You could also try posting a classified on skinnyski.com (sub req'd), among other places. It's not easy to match a single race ski. Would you tell us mo brand, nature of damage and how it occurred, when and where bought? Depending on the circumstances, companies do stand behind their skis. Gene |

It is a fisher rcs, i was racing and went over a rock just beneth the snow which shreded the base down to the core on one sideso that a large peice of the base is missing. Also, the other thing I am wondering is that while the warrenty does not apply to that damage, the protective coating on top of the ski is chipping in a spot, revealing the wood beneath. The skis are only a month old and it is slowly chipping off. Should the company do anything now that I damaged the skis as well or am I out of luck?

Several years ago the top sheet of my carbonlites chipped during a race, showing wood, and the seller assured me that the factory would cover them when I got around to it. I glued the piece back and put it off, since it doesn't affect the use. I would think one month with your RCS's falls well within the warranty. The only question that may be raised is whether or not the topside damage is related to the bottom shredding, or exactly how it occurred. Gene |
