Thanks, that looks ultimately fun! Ideal, the poles along the seemingly
"slow" ice.

I believe it was the winter after my birth, '76/'77, when follwing a cold
period, here in Holland the rain came. And then frost came back again. Roads
were totally iced over, no way to get salt cars out for that scale of icing.
Traffic on wheels was inexistent.
The Dutch being highly practial people, they just took out the ice skates
(standard household equipment before the greenhouse effect came), and skated
to work or school over the roads. I wish I could have lived that a bit more
actively.

Does the ice skater get right of way due to less reliable brakes than a car
on spike tires?
