Default Trail Maint; Battery Hedge trimmer?

Trail Maintenance Question
I have been cleaning up some almost forgotten trails and am looking for
some trail maintenance advice;
Mostly I don’t think we are supposed to use gas power equipment (at
least on the state land) Would it be ok to use battery powered stuff? In
particular, a hedge trimmer for grass and cattails, and creeping charlie
etc. I find the “swisher” really makes my elbows hurt after I have used
it for a few hours.
Anybody know how long a batt pack lasts on one of these?
Any brands a bunch better than others?
Any brands that have other tools that use the same battery pack for
maybe other useful tools?

I would assume battery powered stuff is more desirable, but not used
cuz of the poor life of the batteries. Consider buying and lugging
along multiple batteries...With this in mind, good ol' Black and Decker
heavily markets electric trimmers, as well as other tools, all with
interchangeable batteries.
