Hunter mountain cost cutting
Hunter mountain has reduced most staff by 50% and they expect the same
volume of work to be done. We were stuck on the lift for 30 minutes next to the maintenance shop, it took twenty minutes before anybody exited the maintenance shop to come fix the lift. They have reduced the number of shuttles they run so only one is running now on holidays, the lines are much longer and lifts are stopping for mechanical purposes in greater numbers. The general response of the staff is I do not care I still have my job. I got to take a run on the free race course and in the middle of it a snowboarder crossed into the course and ruined my run. The response of the person running was you must treat the race course as a terrain park and expect interruptions in your run. And of course they run all the racer kids down the course so the lines are excessive, at least with the NASTAR setup there was two courses setup and the paid NASTAR guys got to jump to the front. The lift lines are a zoo nobody is running the queue properly it is the biggest person pushes to the front, none of the staff stops them. If you are interested in a overpriced lift ticket a reduction of expected services grooming that is sub par and a overall zoo mentality, a staff that no longer cars-- please come ski at Hunter |

I just hate it when I have to wait too long to get a drink. This signature is now the ultimate power in the universe |

Also amazing how long it takes a staff to get rolling each year, even fully experienced staff. And also amazing how many skiers forget how a queue works, over the summer. |

And also amazing how many skiers forget how a queue works, over the summer. rudeness and pushy behavior is not forgotten over the summer it was never learned there is 50% less staff than last year so people take advantage of that example normally at beginning of Queue there is a ticket checker at each lift, now they have one guy going to different lifts and walking through line to check tickets. I talked to him in different lift lines none of the liftees loading check tickets. |
