Yeah, the Orangies are a cinch every year. But how about last year's
Norwegian suits vs. the US suits? Weren't they red legs and black butt
vs. black legs and red butt or something? I still don't really know
what this year's US suits look like---they didn't show a US skier in
the NBC Pursuit coverage I watched. --JP

No one has yet explained to me why they cant race in the same team colours they have been wearing all season so far.
If that suit is smothered in commercial names they could have a name free suit specifically for the Oly's.
Have you noticed the predominance of white suits with a small coloured patch on the knee or down the calf.

They race in different colors at the Olympics to fool the terrorists...
Can you imagine one terrorist reading the start list and bib numbers to
other terrorist whose aiming the weapons... It has to be difficult
walking in the deep snow and trying to shoot while wearing a mask...
Then, Imagine the biathlon... The terrorists think about shooting the
athletes but worry about getting shot at in return... They've found
it's easier to sit below the ski jump and aim as the jumpers are in the
air...

I think the teams just want new uniforms for the Oly's. Wasn't there a big
'unveiling' of the US team suits in Salt Lake before 02? Just like
equipment companies bring out all their new stuff. I noticed in the women's
classic that several of the skiers old skis they used in the race were
quickly traded in for the latest model.

I did notice that Kikkan had some duct tape on her uniform for the sprints.
Probably covering up VISA. Glad she used better quality tape than Bauer did
at the Birkie a few years ago.
