Default Roller ski pole length?

What is the proper roller ski classic pole length in relation to an on-
snow classic pole length? The top surface of my ProSki roller ski
deck is 4 cm abovee the pavement surface.

Always wondered the same thing, but everyone says same as on snow and I
don't have any usage (vs. theoretical) evidence to counter that. I
guess the extra height gained by tips on top balances out or is very
close vs. tips in and skis on snow.

My experience is that I need/want to plant the poles more toward
vertical when roller skiing to minimize slippage, so that tends to
require a shorter pole making up for the extra elevation from the
wheels. Also if my RS poles are a bit too long they tend to scrape
the pavement on the return stroke more often than I'd prefer (very
annoying on pavement, but you hardly notice it on snow). Bottom
line: the same length as snow works best for me.
