Default Early Morning transport from Les Houches Chamonix to GVA

Bonjour!

I am looking forward to spending a week in Chamonix in early March. In
booking my flight I seem to encounter a timing problem between leaving
Chamonix and making an 0900 flight out of GVA. According to DB Rail,
the earliest train departing Les Houches is at 0624, arriving GVA at
0924. Does anyone know of another transportation that would suit my
schedule better? Is there a bus that would get me there quicker?

There is a bus and it is quicker but probably still not early enough: I
think the first one arrives at 0850.

Your best bet is probably a taxi.

The trains are pretty good, but as you have found they are not that
frequent or quick. A taxi is the safest bet, not cheap - I *think* it's
€150 for 1 person. It is more economical if there are more of you
though. Have a Google through this group for names and phone numbers, I
think this was discussed quite recently.

As per a previous post, avoid Alpybus - they forgot to collect us or
some sh*t like that!

ATS (Airport Transport Service) is supposed to be quite good.
After the Alpybus disaster we had to get a private transfer, which we
did through Show Train (www.showtrain.com). I think it was EU130 for the
2 of us.
