Meanwhile, back on subject, the beautiful weather arrived as scheduled -
6 inches of fluff deposited by this am, which I trashed in near record

I thought he meant "rich" in the more profound sense - the spiritual
and psychic riches that the skier knows so well. And the "assholes"
was more in the spirit of "bite me"; an expression of good-natured
envy of the richness skiing brings to our lives.
