Advice on Thule
Anyone have a Thule? I am thinking of getting the biggest one, Thule
Atlantis 2100 (holds 21 cubic feet) - just to be sure we don't outgrow it and need another one in a few years. I am wondering - how does it affect gas mileage. Would there be a big difference between the 1600 (holds 16 cubic feet) and 2100 as far as the drag? I never noticed how many people driving up to a ski mountain have these until I started to need one... skis sticking over the seat and into baby's face is not a good look (just kidding, don't call child services just yet). Anyway, I couldn't find this info online, so I thought I'd ask my fellow skiers who may have one... Thanks! |

Advice on Thule

oups.com... Anyone have a Thule? I am thinking of getting the biggest one, Thule Snip... I have the 1800 (older version) and I love it. Seems to be plenty of room for 4 pair of skis and then some. Also great for luggage when we travel. Got it from these guys: http://www.racknroad.com/ I have an Expedition and the stock luggage rack rails are flimsy. So, I got rid of those and got the Thule luggage rack bars with the quick release and locks. It's a nice system. Easy to install and remove. Hope that helps. -- Marty |

Solid design, holds a ton of gear, we wouldnt go skiing without it. |
