Anybody been following what the men and women have been up to this year?
Very strong. Oh nevermind. I forgot, it's not an Olympic year.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone invented TV so we could see some of it?
Beaver Creek every weekend is OK, but by now I know how it's gonna come
out. Miller and Nyman winning on consecutive days would be worth
seeing.

And today, Olympic giant slalom champion Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA)
earned her first World Cup victory, winning a downhill with teammate Lindsey
Kildow (Vail, CO) in third place.

Holy **** - maybe they are the best in the world. Podium after podium.
This is nuts.

Okay, you lost me on that comment. Other then BC BOP, the podiums have
come without home field advantage. Yes?

Podium streak extended to six days!!!!!!

HINTERSTODER, Austria (Dec. 20) - Reigning super G world champion Bode
Miller (Bretton Woods, NH) reclaimed the overall World Cup lead and the SG
points lead Wednesday, rocketing to victory in Hinterstoder. The win - his
24th - came just 90 minutes after Lindsey Kildow (Vail, CO) and Julia
Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA) finished 1-2 in a downhill at Val d'Isere,
France, and gave the U.S. Ski Team a top-3 result in an unprecedented seven
straight races over six days.
