Opinions on Morrow Wildflower 2003
Hi,
I was looking around Internet and seems as if Morrow Wildflower is the cheapest. (Cheapest $130) Any comment on this? I'm starting to wonder what the hell is wrong with it.... There's gotta be a catch. BTW, I'm a beginner-intermediate rider heading for Colorado in January. Serena |

gotta be a catch. New boards that are available for that low a price are always, of course, previous year models, sometimes several years old. If the model is discontinued, the prices tend to be even lower. There are several reasons why there might be good boards left over from previous years that are very much worth buying - too many made, poor choice of graphics, distribution mixup, etc. Of course, sometimes there's a lot leftover because the model wasn't good to begin with. You can always ask why the board is priced so cheap - and see if the answer makes sense. I am assuming by the model name that the Wildflower is a "women's board". The main difference between "women's boards" and "other boards" is that women's boards are typically narrower and softer than other boards in the same length. This may be what you want or it may not depending on how big you are. If you are particularly athletic you might most women's boards too soft for you. On the other hand if you are particularly light a women's board is going to be better for you because a men's board built for your weight might be really short and too turny. (Meaning it wants to make such tight turns that it's unstable at the speed you'll be riding) Just make sure the width is right whatever you get - if you're a US W 6 or 23 Mondo point, get something with a 24cm or narrower waist for example.
