Default Concerning Val Thorens (France)

We were there for "Boarder Week 2007" just before Christmas.

The area is great, some opportunity to go off piste (even Backcountry,
if you like walking over the glacier, we did not).
But they groom the pistes every night and too well (they destroyed the
little bumps of drifted snow overnight ).

But. "Boarder Week" is mostly a tag for attracting the young people to a
party-town. Snowpark was closed for two days, mostly for the ambitious,
not even a halfpipe (unlike Valloire last year).
