Default The boarders get it...

It's all about the experience, doing your best, and most important,
having fun. A speed suit would certainly make one faster in a boarder
cross event, but all you see is the baggy hip-hop clothing.

What would happen to the boarder cross dude, or dude-et that shows up
at the start with a speed suit? Is there a rule against that? I don't
follow boarder cross.

Um, they're allowed to have "incidental contact" with one another on the
course. My best guess is the guy in the spyder suit would encounter
some contact at the far end of "incidental". From all three of the
other guys.

Just a guess...

Another possibly more realistic answer: in boardercross, when someone
scrubs, there's a _chance_ (not a great one, but a chance) to get back
in it if they can get up quickly and keep going. Not sliding too far is
probably an advantage in this case, and a speed suit might rule that
Right Out.

Good point. So, Bode would wear a speed suit in boarder cross. All or
nothing win it or blow up trying.

There was quite a few on hard boots, so they probably get away with a speed
suit.

More than just a chance - in the Women's boarder cross finals
yesterday the US competitor wiped out but still made a comfortable
second place.
