How does that tie in with the rule which states: Don't ski with sharp objects
about your person. ?

Swiss Army Knife.

I originally carried a stubby one in a pocket in the snow cuff at the
bottom of the trouser leg; now I carry a small set in a plastic case, or
when I remember a leatherman (in its leather case). It is amazing how
often I have used them (including adjusting bindings so we can try each
others skis as well as repairs etc.)

One of those ones with the altimeter on them? Yes I got one last time I was
there! Nice too. But I fear the screwdriver may be a bit too narrow for
my bindings (haven't needed to try yet though).

I always carry mine (a leatherman) in my rucksack along with the
avalanche probe and shovel (and spare gloves, hat, goggles,
headtorch, sandwiches, drink etc)

What about your map, compass, para-cord, garden wire, spare snow
baskets, sewing kit and bivvy bag? Bloody amateurs ;-)

Spare snow baskets?
We're supposed to carry spare snow with us nowadays?

Duh. You carry it in the spare snow basket, obviously.
