Default Last minute help

I need to strap together some sort of 7 day trip for 2 to a half decent
resort in europe going out next weekend 5/6 Mar
3V Killy Verbier/Zermatt Arlberg - the usual suspects.

Don't want to spend the earth.

Accomodation or whole caboodle anyone?

If you don't have the time to search around yourself I'd give Alpine
Answers a call (don't have the number but a quick Google will do the
trick). Tell them just what you said here and they'll get back to you
with a few options. They can look at hotels and scheduled flights as
well as the regular package deals. Might be too late now (17:08 on a
Sunday), and they'll probably have theor phones ringing off the hook on
Monday morning so you may need a bit of patience. They may have an
answering machine so leave them a message, at least that way they'll be
on to it first thing.

It seems that with the recent dumps there are very few last minute
bargains to be had in the resorts you mentioned - a friend of mine
booked a trip last Monday departing Saturday (i.e. yesterday) and
couldn't find anywhere offering last minute bargains. His criteria were
pretty much the same as yours (and 90% of the skiing public I guess), he
found a trip without too much trouble - to Val d'Isere - but the TO
wasn't giving any discounts.

I'm not a big fan of packages in general, nothing against them really I
just prefer to DIY it, but for a quick solution for a 'normal'[*] trip
such as yours they would seem to be the answer here.

Steve
[*] By 'normal' I mean 2 people, 7 nights, departing on a weekend to a
major resort. Any deviation from this criteria and it's often much
cheaper and easier to plan it yourself.
