Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

The Guy is an arse. If he slipped in the world cup and ruptured himself
irrepairably no one would care a jot. He insults anyone who has
achieved Olympic selection or even tried to.

His attitude is caused by simply because he is scared to really compete
with passion. He is scared of failing so he convinces himself he is not
concerned before he starts. Somewhere inside he is gutted but he will
go and do another couple of beers a line of coke a bong and suppress
the ache of failure.
