The price I paid for my Surefoot inserts, about $200 two
years ago, included complete and guaranteed fitting.

They stretched my shells where I have bunions and a few
other things. I could also go back for more
"adjustments" at no additional cost.

Check and see what the price really includes. You may
be pleasantly surprised.

Correction: my custom beds were provided by The Racer's Edge and cost
me $99. I think Surefoot is actually their own store in Breck. I'm
not sure what brand orthotics that I've got. Regardless, they are
definitely the way to go IMO.

Yes. definitely yes. But you will be corrected about calling the orthotics.
Some of us have real problem feet and need severe correction--and get upset
to hear folks refer to Surefoot's product as orthotics.

I've had foot beds from Surefoot for over 10 years and won't put on my
boots--or my street shoes without them. They corrected my stance, posture,
comfort level--everything. They made me a much more accurate skier. I
enjoyed the difference so much I had a separate set made for my street
shoes.

When I got new boots they worked with me to make sure the fit was
perfect--iron clad guarantee to adjust, fix or replace until I was
satisfied. But the fit so sooooo good that it only took one trip back to fix
a hot spot I was developing on the side of my left foot because of a spur on
my left instep.

I had had "orthotics" made by my orthopedist. His were the same microwave
toaster oven style that Footloose makes. While this work, they don't last.
Mine were flat after a couple of seasons. They are ok--if you don't ski a
lot. I ski 70-100 days a season depending on the season--and those are full
days--not a couple of hours in the morning, a couple or hours at the bar
then a couple of hours in the afternoon. There are many on this list for
whom that makes me only a dilettante--but for others it is more than they
will ski in their entire life time.....So having footbeds that last is
important to me.

I should post a disclaimer. I am not a Surefoot employee--nor stock holder.

Yes, they do have their own snow. I just got mine there (replacements
from older footbeds). They are definitely good.
