Default XC nationals televised?

The AP is running the following story:

RUMFORD (AP) -- Hundreds of skiers and support personnel have begun
arriving in Rumford for this weekend's U.S. Chevrolet Nationals
cross-country competition.

Scores of races will be played out on Black Mountain's 35 kilometers
of trails. The event is preliminary to the World Cup and will be
broadcast on ESPN.

Black Mountain Skiing Director Peter Philips says 500 skiers from the
U.S., Canada, and several other countries will participate, including
Canadian silver medalist Becky Scott.

The facility is expecting an influx of around two thousand people. For
the United States, the races will help select the U.S. Junior Team for
competition in Estonia later this year.

Older skiers will be chosen for the U.S. National Team that will
compete in the World Cup.

The races are also preliminary to choosing competitors for the
Canadian National Team for the World Cup. Black Team and the Chisholm
Ski Club hosted the event last year, as well as in 1999.

The line that jumped out at me was: "The event is preliminary to the
World Cup and will be broadcast on ESPN."

However, a check of the ESPN website yielded no information on when
the coverage might appear.

Any ideas?

OLN did a nice 30 minute show on US Nationals a few years back.
I hate to be pessimistic, but I'll believe it when I see it on ESPN.

Default XC nationals televised?

XCZONE.TV did the TV production for the Canadian National
Championships last year for prime time broadcast on SportsNet and then
released on video to all ski clubs. It was very professional and skier
orientated. Does anyone know if the Canadian Nationals will be
broadcast?

Quote from Cross Country Canada:

Cross Country Canada is pleased to announce that it has reached an
agreement with SportsNet to broadcast this year's National
Championships. The broadcast is scheduled for early April and will
feature the sprint races on Saturday the 8th of March.

The production company is XC Zone the producers of the highly
acclaimed x-ski videos. Cross Country Canada believes that XC Zone
will use their understanding of x-skiing to bring a fresh exciting
perspective to TV coverage of x-skiing.

Cross Country Canada and XC Zone will also be co-producing a Video /
DVD of the entire championships and order forms will be available on
the web site shortly. [February 14]
