Did you do a search for codecs and Mac? wrote: On Nov 27, 9:55 am, dardruba wrote: http://www.filehippo.com/ This will give you the K Lite Codec Pack Thanks for all the help, but I guess this is a Mac thing and it looks as though K-lite is only for Windows. Well, if anybody has any more suggestions, let me know. Still no luck with the file. Well, yes. And I have downloaded and tried: WMP, VLC, Mplayer, DivX player, DivX DoctorII, DivX Converter, etc. I'm running out of HD space. Guess the problem is that it is a WMV3 file. I give up. Thanks. |

Did you actually do a google search on "mac codecs?" If not try that,
and in particular look at http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/avidivx.html, at least for the .avi files. .Asf files is a more difficult proposition. A quick search on "mac .asf" suggests Flip4Mac is the only solution, given VLC doesn't work: http://www.flip4mac.com/ rm wrote: On Nov 27, 10:20 pm, wrote: Did you do a search for codecs and Mac? wrote: On Nov 27, 9:55 am, dardruba wrote: http://www.filehippo.com/ This will give you the K Lite Codec Pack Thanks for all the help, but I guess this is a Mac thing and it looks as though K-lite is only for Windows. Since the videos was encoded by me on a Mac it shouldn't be a problem watching these videos. I use VLC and it works great! /o On 2007-11-27 03:20:16 +0100, said: Anybody with a Mac have difficulty with the recent race downloads? I got the download but all I get when I try to play it back is audio, no video, despite decoding and converting with various decoders and converters in an attempt to get it to play with Quicktime. I have converted it to an .mov with no luck. It's apparent format at this point is MPEG Layer 3, WMV3 or something like that. Anybody have any ideas? I'm totally new to torrents. TY. |
