Haven't followed the link, but when two of the Olympic racers posted the
same time (not sure of the event, either GS or slalom I think), the BBC
had some technology that superimposed the two racers on top of each
other so you could see them race head to head (just one set of gates
showing etc). It was amazing how far apart they were at some stages
given that they crossed the line together.

Think about poor Kelley Vanderbeek: at Torino, she was in first place in
the women's SG (IIRC) with only three skiers left to go and she ended up
fourth. Now, she finishes 0.01s out of first place and she finishes...


....fourth; doesn't get so much as a bronze.
